Arrived in Cornwall / Arrivée à Cornwall

175 km later. We are so proud that we arrived before dark despite having to wait 45 minutes for a bad rain storm to pass. Tomorrow, we are going to have a very early start (7-7:30 am) and arrive in Montreal in late afternoon. Our goal is to discuss Pink Future with the Montreal media to share our stories and projects with even more.

Having some tech issues, so photos to come soon our blog, but please check Facebook.

An inaccessible Trail, a ferry, Presqu’île and final Kingston!

Hello everyone,
So today, we left Port Hope this morning at around 8:50 am. Today (and tomorrow) are the longest routes. Approximately 175 km, but that is a conservative number. Changes in routes, trails that are inaccessible do impact this number. No different today. We were supposed to spend a good portion of the day on the Millenium Trail, but we overlooked the fact that the entire trail wasn’t paved. A few km on the trail taught us that we love our bikes, our arms and hands and that remaining on the trail proved not to be the best idea. So be abandoned the trail and found a new route. Hey, at least we got to past right by Presqu’ile Provincial Park.

Alors aujourd’hui, nous sommes arrivés à Kingston vers 20h50. On est partis à 8h50 ce matin. 182 km!

Our hands are hurting, we are dead tired, but we managed to meet our goal of reaching Kingston in daylight. After 182 km of biking, we arrived in downtown Kingston. Hard to believe, but we aren’t stopping there. Tomorrow, Cornwall here we come. Another race against the sun, against time. We need to make Cornwall before nightfall. And we will.

Lunch by Presqu’ile Provincial Park

quick lunch at Presquile Provincial Park. An awesome smoothie, home-made sandwiches and we are eating Deborah’s amazing sandwiches.

Arrived in Port Hope!

Nous sommes arrivés à notre Bed and Breakfast à 7h30 hier.
We arrived at oui B&B at 7:30pm last night. It was great to arrive when the sun was still shinning. Today, we are expecting to do 175km . But first, a good breakfast full of proteins.

The first day…. here we come Port Hope / Notre première journée

Hello everyone,

The day is fresh and we are almost completely ready for our first leg of Pink Future’s biking adventure 2016. When we set out to do this, it was primarily to honour our two Mom’s who had to fight the ultimate battle… and ultimately lost. But now, it has become much more. We are biking for the millions of women fighting for their lives.

We look forward to arriving in Port Hope this early evening, after around 150 km of biking. We’ve raised almost $5,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and we look forward to sharing how our first day went later on.

Thank you to Kelly from the CBCF, her husband Boris (below) and the amazing hospitality we received at their house yesterday night.
